Using the guidelines established by the State College Contract Law (N.J.S.A 18A-64-52 et seq., and authorized by the Board of Trustees of The College of New Jersey, the following is a set of guidelines governing purchases for The College of New Jersey that all departments must follow. The College’s Purchasing Department has the exclusive responsibility for entering into contracts or issuing purchase orders on behalf of the College. These guidelines cover all non-construction related goods and services. All construction related purchases are bound by the same thresholds, laws, etc. but must be coordinated through the Construction or Facilities departments.
The purpose of these guidelines is to provide direction to departments in the procurement of goods and services. They are designed to encourage fair and competitive procurement within the statutes and regulations of the State College Contract laws.
All staff are expected to adhere to the College’s applicable ethics guidelines in the procurement of goods and services. For more information on the College’s ethics regulations, please refer to the ethics Page on the General Counsel webpage at https://ethics.pages.tcnj.edu/
